Guidelines

At Camp South, we try to provide our guests with a quiet, family-oriented camping experience. To ensure everyone’s security and enjoyment of our facilities, we ask that you read and observe the following:

  • Georgia Agritourism Liability – – Under Georgia law, there is no liability for an injury or death of a participant at least 18 years of age in a registered agritourism activity conducted at this registered agritourism location if such injury or death results from the inherent risks of such agritourism activity. Inherent risks of agritourism activities include, but shall not be limited to, the potential of you to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury or death and the potential of another participant to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury or death. You are assuming the risk of participating in this registered agritourism activity.
  • We have a petting farm with horses. Please note under Georgia law, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, pursuant to Chapter 12 of Title 4 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated.
  • We have a community garden. Please note that under Georgia law, an owner or operator of a pick-your-own farm location is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant from the inherent risks of harvesting agricultural products, pursuant to Article 7 of Chapter 14 of Title 2 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated.
  • Pond: The pond is provided for you to fish. No swimming or boating allowed in the pond. Fishing with rod & reel or cane pole only. One pole per person. Fish from the South bank only. No setting of trout line nets, cast nets, or traps. Catch only what you plan to eat. Children under the age of 16 must have a parent or adult guardian with them in the pond area.
  • Children: Kids are welcome at Camp South. For their safety and enjoyment, children need to be supervised at all times including, but not limited to, when they are at campsites, on the playground, at the pond, and on the walking trail. An adult (18 years or older) must accompany any child under 12 anywhere on the campground.
  • Safe Pets: We LOVE pets at Camp South, but, for everyone’s wellbeing, only safe pets can stay here. No aggressive animals allowed on premises – – no exceptions. Pets cannot be left outside unattended, and must be on a leash at all times. On-leash walking trails are provided. Your pet must be walked by a responsible person to ensure any “deposits” made by your pet are picked up immediately. If you are planning on bringing your pet, please email a picture of your dog’s shot records to salter@campsouthrvpark.com along with your name and reservation date.
  • Laundry: We have washers and dryers you may use in the bathhouse for a fee. You may use a free-standing drying rack. Pleased don’t string a clothes line through the trees as it damages the bark on the trees and such.
  • Smoking: Please do not throw cigarette butts on the ground or in the pine-straw which is flammable. Cigarettes can be disposed of in the smoking pot located at the bathhouse.
  • Grilling: Barbecuing or other outdoor cooking on the guest’s own equipment is allowed as long as it is done in a safe manner. Camp South does not provide grills. No cooking or grilling on the ground. When grilling, please clear leaves and pine needles 10 feet away from the grill and make sure that there are no overhanging branches that can catch fire.
  • Wildlife: Please respect the wildlife. Please do not feed, touch or disturb any wildlife you come across at Camp South.
  • Trees: Please do not cut down any trees.
  • Generators: Due to the noise, the use of gasoline generators within the campground is prohibited. RV’s with built-in generator usage permitted only in the event of a campground-wide power outage, upon management approval.
  • Music/Noise: Music & noise must be kept to an appropriate level for everyone’s enjoyment. Please be considerate of your neighbors.
  • Quiet Time: 10:00pm to 8:00am
  • Speed Limit: Camp South max speed 5 MPH. Please drive slowly and watch for children and animals.
  • Ground disposal of any drain water (gray or black) is prohibited by State Law. Wastewater from RVs (including sink water) must be disposed of into sewer drains. Local codes prohibit waste dumping on the ground.
  • Collect all waste and utilize the full hook-up sites or use our dump station if in a water/electric site. We are monitored by Local Officials.
  • Sewer Connections require a tight seal by a Sewer Donut/Ring or a screw-type connector.
  • Trash and Garbage must be tied in plastic bags. Dumpsters are located at the entrance / exit of the park for your convenience. Please keep your site neat and leave it clean for the next campers.
  • Damages: You will be charged for any damages to campsite sites or campground
  • Liability: Neither Camp South RV Park nor any of its employees is responsible for accidents, injuries or losses from any cause.
  • Responsibility: You are responsible for damage caused by yourself and/or members of your camping party.

Violation of these Guidelines is grounds for ejection from the park without refund. Management reserves the right to refuse service, limit the length of stay and the number of persons or vehicles per campsite suite and/or evict any person or party without refund.
